Due to the great success of SRC Music Rock Camps another camp will be held on the March Break. If your child is interested or you or they know someone who is please let us know ASAP. SRC Music needs to have 20 participants in order to make this effective both for costing and for the purpose of creating bands, contact 613-253-0263 to register.
Here's an outline of the Rock Camp program,
* it's Mon, Mar.15th to Fri, Mar. 19th,
* 9am to 4pm everyday,
* 12 yrs to 18yrs (exceptions for 10 &11 yrs based on abilty)
* the cost is $400.00 plus GST per child
* youth will be placed in at least one group, maybe 2 or 3 groups, depending on ability
* on the first day of camp, we will have an orientation, get to know one another & learn how to write an original piece of music together,
* from there, we'll divide into bands (vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, pianist, etc.) some groups may have more than 1 of the same instrument, or more than one vocalist
* some youth may have the opportunity to try a different instrument, & we'll try writing songs in smaller groups
* we'll divide again into more groups; vocals, drums, guitars, etc. & try learning other songs or instrumental pieces with the help & leadership of staff
* our goal will be to put a show together, & youth will learn about how a performance happens, in front & behind the scenes
* on Friday, March 19th at 2pm, we'll give a performance for family & friends, everyone is welcome
